Be
sure to mark your calendar for this years very fun and special event
- the Chico qualifying tournament is on Saturday, August 27th,
2005!
Major
sponsors include The Point 107.5fm, Round Table Pizza, and the Chico
News & Review. All proceeds will benefit the Pediatric Brain
Tumor Foundation.
On
October 16th, 2004, Putters at Funland hosted the second annual
Harris Cup Miniature Golf Tournament! The winner of this years local
tournament, Kenneth Alameda, and the winner of the Employee
Invitational, Scott Andrews, (below) were sent to play in
the National Harris Cup Tournament in Orlando, Florida on November
21st, 2004, on the Golf Channel, for a chance at $5000! Both golfers
finished in the top 20! Last year's tournament was an exciting event
with a couple of very low scores. Even those that didn't score well
had fun knowing that the net proceeds of the event went to a good
cause, Pediatric Brain Tumor Research.
The
2005 Harris Cup National Championship
will happen in Atlantic City on September 25th.
