Summer 2011 Adult Registration Information

Player Information

  • Most games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 8:30 and 10:30pm
  • All teams and leagues are co-ed
  • Two skill divisions
  • Level A/B: Upper-Intermediate/Experienced players (A-Leaguers and some B-Leaguers)
  • Level B/C: Beginner/Lower-Intermediate players (C-Leaguers and some B-Leaguers)
  • Regular season will consist of 6 games, plus playoffs
  • All players must register individually, but may be part of a pre-arranged team
  • Individual registrants will be placed on a team during the draft/evaluation
  • Teams will be between 6 and 10 players, plus a goalie
  • The league director has sole authority to finalize team composition

Important Dates

  • June 1st - 8:30-9:30pm - Level B/C Registration and informal pick-up games
  • June 1st - 9:30-10:30pm - Level A/B Registration and informal pick-up games
  • June 6th - Last day to sign-up for Summer Hockey (without director permission)
  • June 7th & 8th - Regular Season begins (both divisions)
  • July 12th & 13th - Regular Season ends
  • July 26th - 28th - Playoffs

Rules and Regulations

  • AAU and House Rules govern league play
  • Leagues are non-checking and non-contact. Fighting will not be tolerated
  • Players who violate AAU or Houe rules may be suspended, without a refund
  • Mandatory equipment includes: inline skates, helmet with face shield and mouth guard, hockey gloves, hockey-style knee and shin guards, elbow pads, hockey stick, and protective cup (males).
  • AAU membership and secondary insurance is required, cost $22 per player, per year, paid at Cal Skate. A copy of driver's license or birth certificate is required for the initial sign-up. Returning players from the Fall 2010 or Spring 2011 seasons are still covered (until Aug. 31st. 2011)
  • The league director has sole authority to finalize/change team composition.

Fees

  • Register at Cal Skate before the deadline
  • Cost: $95.00 for skaters, $47.50 for goalies. Maximum 1 goalie per team **Early Bird Discount - Save $10 if paid by May 18th!**
  • AAU membership, which includes secondary insurance, is required. Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 returning players in good standing are covered, new players must pay the $22.00 fee per player, per year (August to August), paid at Cal Skate. A copy of driver's license or birth certificate is required for the initial sign-up.

Players Receive

  • 6 regular season, and at least 2 postseason games
  • 10% discount on merchandise in the Pro Shop
